Brief History of the Department

Establishment

Establishment : June, 1971

The dept. So far has produced some principals & gazette officers particularly in police dept. Has the tradition of eminent poets & writers, such as Dr. Surykant Khandekar, Smt. Manda Kadam, Dr. Shashikant Choudhari etc. The dept. introduces folk-dance, folk – art, & makes students participate in it.

Vision

To create interest in Marathi Literature, Art and Culture.
Mission

To make skill oriented, self- confident and proactive student and to introduce history of Marathi literature and its streams as well as to inspire creative writing of literature.
